Indonesia Famous Badminton Legend (Part One)

Hello again. Now in this part, I will mention some famous Badminton Legend who play in men's singles and women's singles. From men's singles there are Rudy Hartono and Liem Swie King, while in women's singles there is Susanti.


Rudy Hartono


Rudy Hartono was Indonesia Badminton Legend  Player, who was born in Surabaya August 18, 1949. He was the son of the third of nine children. He began playing badminton in 9 years old. He practiced at the Oke Badminton Association  that portion is determined by his father's training. After joining a long with the Oke Badminton Association , he decided to move to Grup Rajawali.Late 1965, he decided to move to the Thomas Cup Training Center.Shortly after moving, the better he looks. At 18 years old, he managed to win the All England champion title. After that, he continued to win this title until 1974. Other awards he received was title of U.S. open and  Canadian open.





Liem Swie King.


Liem Swie King was another Indonesia Badminton Legend Player. He was born in Kudus February 28 1956 . He become famous after challenging Rudy Hartono in the 1976 All England final in the age-20. Liem Swie King achieved many achievements during 15 years in badminton. First achievement is the first champion Central Java (1972). At the age of 17 years (1973), he won the second champion of the National Sports Week. After that, Liem Swie King recruited into national training based in Hall C Senayan. He also won the National Championship 1974 and 1975. There are antohers achievments, like World Cup champions, champions Indonesia Open, World Championship Semi Finals, Finalists SEA Games. He was dubbed the king of smash. In order to guarantee the future, he resigned as a national badminton player in 1988. Although he could not immediately find a business to achieve its goals. A year after quitting, the King could hardly be said unemployed. Because the skills and knowledge he had was the sport of badmintonThen he began to participate in managing a hotel in South Jakarta's  Melawai Street. After that, he expanded the business by opening a massage griya health. Now his business has employedmore than 400 employees. He work in Grand Wijaya Centre Office Complex in South Jakarta



Susi Susanti


Susi Susanti was another Badminton Legend Player who play in women's singles. She was born in Tasikmalaya 11 February 1971. She loves the game of badminton since elementary school. Support of his parents made ​​him determined to become badminton athletes.He also started his career in her uncle badminton club's , PB Tasikmalaya Tunas. After practicing for 7 years there and won the junior badminton championships, in 1985 he moved to Jakarta. At that time he was two junior high class, but have been thinking seriously on the world of badmintonEarly in his career in 1989, Susi has managed to become championin the Indonesian Open. Moreover thanks to the tenacity andperseverance, Susi had participated and contributed to the team title of the Sudirman Cup for the first time Indonesia and have notrecurred to date. After that he began to rule the world women'sbadminton competition by winning the All England four times (1990, 1991, 1993, 1994) and became World Champion in 1993Susi arguably peak of his career occurred in 1992 when she won the women's singles badminton at the Barcelona Olympics, 1992. Susibecame the first gold medalist for Indonesia at the Olympics.Interestingly, Alan Budikusuma which is when it's her boyfriend, alsoa champion in the men's singles. They managed to marry the men's singles champion and daughter of badminton at the Barcelona Olympics. Foreign media dubbed them as "Olympic Suite", an a nickname which happens to be a reality in the future.Susi again managed to win a medal, this time a bronze medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, United States. In addition, Susi participate incised achievement by winning the Uber Cup in 1994 and 1996. Dozens of titles are also successful grand prix series he achieved throughout his careerIn May 2004, the International Badminton Federation (nowBadminton World Federation) honored Hall Of Fame to Susi Susanti.
